There are two types of Natural resources, The first is renewable which are resources that can be replaced over time, like plants growing or daily light from the sun. We are very lucky to get unlimited energy from the wind and sun which happens by using wind turbines that give power to our energy sources and solar panels that collect sunlight and turn it into energy. But we need to be careful with our overconsumption of plants and animals, just because they are renewable resources does not give us the right to over consume due to high demands of livestock and wood we are cutting down trees causing deforestation and killing forests that are home to many species additionally causing our environment to loss biodiversity and trees are a big source of oxygen, cutting them down is causing climate changes as well. excessive consumption might result in serious ecological and environmental issues. Animal populations may drop too quickly for recovery when over hunted or overfished, which could result in the extinction of a species.
The second is non-renewable resources such as oil, propain, natural gasses, fossil fuels and minerals yet we are overconsuming these resources. We must not over consume any of our natural resources because when we do it causes unstable situations. Once a fossil fuel is burned it goes into our air polluting it. We rely heavily on non renewable resources when we drive our cars or heat our homes with fuels even with metals that make up our cars or cans we drink out of. Non renewable resources are essential for energy production but are limited and environmentally damaging. The burning of these fuels contributes significantly to climate change due to CO2 emissions.
Some non renewable resources that do not have to go to waste and pollute our environment, some can be recycled! Everyone needs to do their part in reducing the rapid rate of habitat destruction and pollution because we all factor into it. The least anyone can do is recycle in their homes, many non renewable resources that can be recycled such as paper, glass, plastic, some metals and many more! There are protocols when it comes to recycling and you need to watch out to not accidentally contaminate a whole bin by not properly rinsing before recycling. But recycling isn't the only way to help, we can all reuse, for example if I forget my reusable bag at the grocery store and use those store plastic grocery bags I do not throw them away when I get home I save them and reuse them as trash bags for my bathroom and desk trash can.Overall by shifting to cleaner, renewable energy sources such as Wind Energy or Solar Power, we can reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources and create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
