Activity 1.1- A Turning Point Event for Environmental Science, Silent Spring

Point of View Rachel Carson the author or Silent Springs story is told beginning in 1962 in the hight of the Cold War. Carsons first three books where know for opening peoples eyes to the natural world, but in Silent Spring she delivered a terrifying warning that we are on a path to destroying our environment. At the time Silent Springs was one of the nations best selling books and was known as a cons reversal book.  Purpose The purpose of the video American Experience PBS video over Carsons book Silent Springs is to inspire people to consider more environmentally friendly practices. Carsons provides scientific evidence and case studies showing her audience the negative impacts of pesticides. What I Most Look Forward to in My Environmental Science Class.                                             I am looking forward to study how humans affect an organism's biological and physical surroundings is the strict definition of environmental science. I have never made a blog before so I am excited to see all my work organized and together throughout this semester.
